PDE presents to Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies an on-site presentation that provides the attendees with a broader knowledge of terrorism. It examines the roots of terrorism and gives the definitions for both International and Domestic Terrorism.

The objective of this course is to provide a basic understanding of terrorism, their operational methodology, their motivation and targets. Attendees will get an overview of the following:

  • Brief history of Terrorism
  • Terrorism defined
  • Major factors contributing to modern day terrorism
  • Terrorist Group Structure and Motivation
  • Active Terrorist Groups and State Sponsors of Terrorism
  • Terrorist Operations
  • Detecting Terrorist Surveillance
  • Individual Personal Protective Measures

This course has been designed and written to provide the attendees with a broader knowledge of terrorism from 66 A.D. to present. It examines the roots of terrorism and gives the definitions for both International and Domestic Terrorism.

International Terrorism

The first portion looks at International Terrorism and discusses how world events have been affected throughout history. An example was the start of World War I which was basically started by a terrorist assassination. The instructor will provide a list of international terrorist organizations and list nations who are named by the Department of State as being state sponsors.

Domestic Terrorism

The second portion of the class defines Domestic Terrorism. There are also discussions that define various entities such as Right Wing groups, Left Wing groups and Special Interest Groups. There is also a portion of this segment that discusses hate groups, how these groups recruit and their propaganda techniques. In this portion we also look at various symbols that many law enforcement agencies tend to overlook such as the number "88" which is a symbol for the "Heil Hitler". Also addressed in this portion is WMD.

This course is designed to be an onsite presentation. Ideally, it should be in a classroom or auditorium typesetting depending on the number of attendees.

The format for the course is a PowerPoint presentation structured to be an open discussion where students are encouraged to participate with experiences and questions.

The cost is a flat rate for the presentation plus instructor's expenses to be paid at the current per diem rate for your area.

The number of attendees is unlimited and shall be at the hosting locations discretion.

PDE's instructor has over twenty years in the USAF Security Forces career field and is a DoD Certified Master Instructor in the field of law enforcement and security with more than 2000 hours in the classroom. He is also FBI certified hostage negotiator.

Currently, we present this same course to the U.S. Federal Reserve in Atlanta for their law enforcement and security personnel at all levels.

We can help provide your law enforcement agency with a basic understanding of terrorism, their operational methodology, motivation, and target.
