Requirements for accounting system audits
Tools within QuickBooks® to satisfy government accounting system
Winning a government contract can mean entering a lucrative business arena for many small businesses. It also means they enter an arena filled with new and unique government reporting requirements. With proper setup and understanding, these new requirements do not need to become obstacles. They can actually turn into stepping stones to greater opportunities.
In actuality, no accounting system in and of itself is an approved accounting system. The DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) has the responsibility to review and approve all accounting systems for government contractors. Setting up a system to meet the strict guidelines can be confusing to small businesses and they do not realize (in many cases) that most lower-end or over the counter programs such as Intuit's QuickBooks®, can be setup, and when used "properly" be approved by the DCAA.
PD Enterprises, Inc. specializes in assisting small businesses design (or re-design) their over the counter accounting software programs and internal processes/procedures to comply with government requirements
